DIRNDL + BUA

The traditional shoe label Dirndl + Bua was founded in 1994 by the friends Thomas Huber and Jo Gehringer with the ambition to produce high-quality shoes from unique materials. All shoe models are made in their own production in Hungary. The label focuses on time-honored silhouettes and a used look, where the leather is color-washed by hand before being further processed into a shoe.

DIRNDL + BUA

Traditional footwear from the Attersee region.

The leather hides used for the collections of Dirndl + Bua come from Italian tanneries. Mostly these are family businesses with a long tradition in tanning. The many years of experience of the leather masters is what makes the leather for the shoes from Dirndl + Bua so unique and supple. The leather and raw materials are processed into shoes in the company's own production facility in Hungary. This is where 60% of the entire production of Dirndl + Bua takes place. The remaining 40% of the shoes are made in small manufactories in Italy. This ensures high quality and durability of the shoes. The Haferl- and Trachtenschuhe of Dirndl + Bua are characterized above all by proven handicraft with high-quality material equipment and a traditional last form. The shoes are available in greased cowhide, classically soft calf nappa or chamois tanned deerskin.
